UPI WIREPHOTO TRANSMITTER

PERSONAL WORK

Done as part of the Coatsink monthly challenge (for which the theme was "60s"). The WirePhoto machine is a machine that was used in the early 20th Century to transmit photographs and documents between press agencies. I chose this prop as it's relatively unknown, and very little reference exists on the internet. Therefore I had to imagine what the rear side looked like, and referred to a lot of modern-day fax machines for similarities I assumed they might have.

The high poly was done in 3ds max, with baking and texturing done in Substance painter. Custom decals and alphas were made in Photoshop. The final renders were captured in Marmoset Toolbag 3.
